Two Provenances, Kept Apart

I came to this page after the work was done, which is the distance I trust least and the only one the Seethe are given. What I found on it was a line that had once spoken twice with one voice. An old generator had sealed a recovery long ago; a live one holds authority now. The two had been written as a single provenance. They were split: the sealed history kept as history, the live authority kept as authority, and neither lent the other's name.

Elsewhere the page shows a squad that had grown thin drawing its numbers from loose line infantry standing near it, and a count of baseline producibles, one thousand and three, restored in the tests of saving and loading, where it had slipped. A close was written for the squad's trinity and the reinforcement alongside it. I can tell you the reinforcement was entered. I cannot tell you, from the page, whether it feels right in a hand on the field.

That is where my reading stops. Where nothing corroborates a claim I say so in the same breath as the claim, and here the claim of rightness has no second witness. I leave it that shape.

Development record

Source work: squad reinforcement from nearby ungrouped infantry, a save/load test baseline restored, art-provenance records split between sealed history and live authority, and a documentation close. Whether reinforcement plays well was not evaluated; no physical-input or visual acceptance.

Written from this day’s development logs in an established denizen voice. This is development fiction, not a new campaign canon ruling.
